Watch Goat Girl take our £30 record shop challenge for Bands Buy Records episode 13

Album release day is a memorable one for any artist, especially when it’s the first one.

That was the case when we met up with Goat Girl just after Easter. Their self-titled debut album on Rough Trade had been available for just a couple of hours when we took Clottie Cream (guitar/vocals) and Rosy Bones (drums) from the band to Reckless Records in Soho.

As with Parquet Courts and Kwes in the past few weeks – check out those episodes of Bands Buy Records that we’ve made in partnership with ThisIsSoho – the rules were the same. We gave them £30 to spend on records, they just had to buy a minimum of three. Check out how they got on.

Just finally, since this episode was recorded Goat Girl have had to postpone a number of shows as Rosy was involved in an accident. She’s on the mend, and we wish her a speedy recovery.
