Angel Olsen is on the cover of Loud And Quiet 152

On the cover this month we have Angel Olsen, who we’ve featured a couple of times before inside the issue, but never as our lead feature. There’s a lot talk about: through the pandemic, Olsen has fallen in love, come out and sadly lost both of her parents in quick succession. With studio time already booked, she made new album Big Time shortly after, although had no idea if she’d be able to or not.

For our interview and shoot with her, we travelled to her hometown of Asheville, North Carolina, where Olsen drove Colin Groundwater around for the day in her vintage pickup. It’s an extremely candid first interview about Big Time, thanks to Olsen’s openness.
