Whoever the project is now, they've just announced a new album with a non-album track
Second guessing what is fact and what is fiction in the world of Hype Williams became pointless a long time ago.
Dean Blunt and Inga Copeland are definitely real human beings, and, for simplicity, let’s presume that this experimental art project really has been them up until now. Maybe it still is, but the official word on that is that it isn’t.
A new album is coming on August 25th via Big Dada, but ‘Rainbow Edition’ is apparently the work of somebody else. The announcement of this first proper album since 2011’s ‘One Nation’ comes with the following statement…
4 the sake of clarityn…
The last Hype Williams recordings were for One Nation (Hippos in Tanks, 2011). After this, Dean Bluntand Inga Copeland carried on recording through 2012 under their own names (while continuing to use the HW name to fulfil existing live commitments).
They are both no longer involved, and any Hype Williams releases you’ve since heard are FAKE. Bare Paigons. Like Cappadonna making his own Wu.
We been gone for a minute, but now we’re back with the jump off. We can’t get jiggy with no hundreds and thousands or nuthin like that, we gotta get back in that M game. Wanna own the block b4 the ball drops.
20 Joints

…& ppl 2 fat for fedoras
This comes with a new track, although not one that will feature on ‘Rainbow Edition’. ‘Kathy Goes To Haiti’ is sub-two-minutes of industrial static.
Oh, and god knows who the people are in this new press shot provided.
