She’s be playing in the UK in the autumn, too, at the following places:

London, The Dome – 8
Brighton, The Haunt – 9
There's a tactile new video to go with it
Times are busy, right? Just today there’s been new tracks shared by the likes of Zola Jesus (‘Exhumed’), Sheer Mag (‘Need To Feel Your Love’) and Jay Electronica (no, really, even Jay Electronica – ‘Letter To Falon’), among other stuff.
Our pick from this platter is TORRES’ new track ‘Skim’.
Those familiar with her 2015 breakthrough second LP ‘Sprinter’ will know it was a deep and at times thoroughly dark experience.
In an interview with The Guardian she spoke about how it was an attempt, via songwriting, to reconcile with the darker side of her youth. Mackenzie Scott was adopted and raised by her mother’s Bible Studies teacher, parts of the LP explored her pious, disciplined upbringing.
After a short break TORRES has return with new music, and announced that she’s signed to 4AD, home to the likes of Aldous Harding, Future Islands and The National.
The video for the track is directed by Ashley Connor. In it, the house TORRES’ is in kind of comes alive…
